Call for abstracts
The standard call for abstracts for ESCAIDE 2025 opens on 15 April and will close on 14 May (23:59 CEST).
Standard call for abstracts
ESCAIDE 2025 welcomes abstracts in all areas applied to infectious disease and public health. These areas include epidemiology, microbiology, virology, immunology, social sciences, science communication, the application of tools and methods to support infectious disease interventions and more. We encourage submissions that inform public health actions, introduce new ideas, and bring new understandings to the field. To read examples of abstracts presented at previous editions of ESCAIDE, see the Abstract books on our website.
Submitting an abstract to ESCAIDE gives you an opportunity to present your work to public health professionals from Europe and around the globe, while sharing experiences and knowledge that can benefit the whole public health community and beyond.
ESCAIDE 2025 will take place with a physical audience in Warsaw (Poland) and be live-streamed online, allowing both audiences to ask questions. We encourage abstract presenters to present in-person, but remote presentation is also possible for abstracts accepted as oral presentations.
A second call, for submission of late breakers, is organised between 10-24 September. More information on this is published here.
How to submit an abstract
Abstracts must be submitted through the dedicated ESCAIDE abstract submission platform, linked below.
Before submitting an abstract, authors are requested to carefully read the guidelines for abstract submission and review, in order to familiarise themselves with the submission process and evaluation criteria.
Please note the updates to the abstract submission process: the maximum word count for abstract submissions (excluding the title) has been increased to 300 words, and the submission tracks have been modified slightly compared to 2024.
