Updated eligibility criteria for the ESCAIDE Funding Initiative

news

The ESCAIDE Funding Initiative provides funding to cover travel and accommodation costs for eligible abstract presenters from the EU/EEA, allowing them to attend the conference in Stockholm and present their work in person.

This funding is available to professionals and students in a field relating to public health who reside in the EU/EEA, with preference given to those coming from Member States that usually submit fewer abstracts to ESCAIDE. In an effort to make the Funding Initiative more inclusive and accessible, the funding is no longer reserved only for early-career professionals or students who have resided in the EU/EEA for at least three years. We hope these changes will promote the diversity among in-person abstract presenters, who would otherwise not have had access to funding to travel to Stockholm.

Abstract authors who meet the eligibility criteria listed on our website are invited to indicate their interest in being considered for the Funding Initiative when submitting their abstract. If their abstract is accepted for presentation at the conference, they will be asked to provide further information to determine their eligibility, and the successful applicants will be contacted to arrange their travel and accommodation.
