ESCAIDE 2024 accredited with European CME credits

ESCAIDE news

The European Scientific Conference on Applied Infectious Disease Epidemiology (ESCAIDE) 2024, Stockholm, Sweden, 20/11/2024-22/11/2024 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 20.0 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).

Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that they actually spent in the educational activity.

  • Day 1, 20 November 2024: 6.5 credits
  • Day 2, 21 November 2024: 7 credits
  • Day 3, 22 November 2024: 6.5 credits

How to claim CME credits

To request the certificate and claim CME credits, ESCAIDE participants will need to attend the sessions during the conference days (online or in-person) and answer the end-of-conference feedback survey. The survey will be sent to participants by email and will be available on the Swapcard platform.

According to EACCME requirements, the attendance will be checked and a personalised certificate with the number of session hours attended during the conference days will then be sent to requesters via email.

Information for medical specialists from the US and Canada

Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at https:/./edhub.ama-assn.org/pages/applications

Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
