news

The standard call for abstracts for ESCAIDE 2025 is now open and the deadline for submissions is 14 May (23:59 CEST).

ESCAIDE is organised annually by ECDC and is Europe’s leading public health conference dedicated to sharing knowledge on infectious disease epidemiology, public health microbiology, and related scientific fields.

Submitting your abstract to ESCAIDE gives you the opportunity to present your work to public health professionals from Europe and worldwide, as well as share experiences and knowledge that can benefit the whole public health community.

ESCAIDE 2025 welcomes abstracts in all areas applied to infectious disease and public health. These areas include epidemiology, microbiology, virology, immunology, social sciences, science communication, the application of tools and methods to support infectious disease interventions and more.

The conference will take place in Warsaw (Poland) on 19-21 November and online. Abstract presenters are encouraged to attend in person, but remote presentation is also possible for abstracts accepted as oral presentations.

Abstracts must be submitted by 14 May through the dedicated online platform, and notifications of acceptance or rejection will be sent by 27 June. A second call for late breaker abstracts will be held from 10-24 September 2025.

Registration for ESCAIDE 2025 is free. Funding opportunities for early-career public health professionals are available to provide financial support for eligible abstract presenters to attend the conference in person.
